After familiarizing themselves with home hardware SNK took the next natural step and released a handheld system to compete with the Game Boy. As we all know no one could stand up to the might of Nintendo, but this one lasted on the market for a few years. It managed to amass a decent library covering all genres, but it specialized in fighting games which was an underrepresented genre in portable gaming. It’s worth collecting and has many downports of classic SNK games and many titles you won’t find anywhere else. There’s even a color version they released as an answer to the Game Boy Color.
