Was it a handheld? Home console? I still don’t even know. That’s the thing about the Nintendo Virtual Boy; it was a very confused piece of hardware. To play it you had to view the screens through the goggles (which displayed in stereoscopic 3D) but only had two colors; red and black. The system also hurt the eyes of gamers and had warnings about playing for extended periods of time. Few developers showed interest and there are only a few games that ever saw the light of day. There were plans for a link cable but it never saw release. After this huge failure Nintendo returned back to the plain old Game Boy.
