When Sega left the home console market they left a void. This empty space was soon filled by Microsoft with their Xbox console. It was hyped as the most powerful console ever released and could push graphics a step above both the PlayStation 2 and the Gamecube. It boasted unique features such as an internal harddrive as well as controllers with breakaway chords. The console featured a lot of PC ports and absolutely excelled in the first person shooter genre. Games like Halo and Fable are still pertinent even today.
