Nintendo had a lot of innovative ideas when it came to their 8-bit Famicom console and the Disk System was one of them. This read floppy disks that were re-writable. This means that, provided you lived in Japan, you could purchase the disks and load games on them via kiosks set up in a variety of different stores. The idea was innovative, and to this day there has been nothing quite like it. Though most titles released for it were re-worked Famicom games some exclusives were released for the platform. It’s definitely a collector’s piece.
