Atari was the first to the 64-bit market with their Jaguar console. After a string of unsuccessful home video game systems this certainly seemed to be it, but it wasn’t. The console featured some very weird internal architecture making development a nightmare. Companies certainly weren’t in any hurry to make new games for the unit. The Atari Jaguar is now infamous for being one of the worst video game consoles of all time thanks to a sub-par library of games.
